Tangy and energizing, this iced tea is a great pick-me-up in the heat wave of summer afternoons! Use green tea to add a caffeinated boost and l-theanine zen to your afternoon.
Strawberry Lime Iced Tea
Makes 1 glass // Prep Time: 2+ hours // Active Time: 10 minutes
- 1 cup cold brewed green tea
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups strawberries
- 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
- 2 tbsp honey or your sweetener of choice!
- Strawberries and lime wedges for garnish
In a small saucepan combine the water, strawberries, and lime juice and bring to a boil. As soon as it starts boiling, reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Then removed from heat and strain into your glass, pressing on the strawberries to extract maximum goodness. Let cool to cool to room temperature (at least 15 minutes).
Next add in the cold brewed green tea and stir in the honey. Add a handful of ice cubes, garnish with some strawberries and a lime wedge, and enjoy!
