This spiked classic is a wonderful complement to any St. Patrick’s Day celebration. A tasty, fun, and super easy green refreshment with a bit of matcha and some Bailey’s Irish Cream - you can’t go wrong! This beverage can also be made kid friendly by leaving the Bailey’s out. So go ahead, get to whippin’ some up and enjoy this matcha latte with a kick!
IRISH MATCHA LATTE
Makes 1 glass // Prep Time: 5 minutes // Active Time: 5 minutes
- 1-2 tbsp matcha powder
- 3 oz water
- 1/2 cup (4 oz) whole milk or half and half
- 2 oz Bailey's Irish Cream or Irish whiskey
- Ice cubes
- Whipped cream (optional)
Whisk the matcha powder slowly with the water to create a condensed and smooth matcha paste. Combine matcha paste, milk or half and half, Bailey's or Irish whiskey, and a handful of ice cubes in a cocktail shaker and shake well for about 15-20 seconds. Strain into cocktail glasses over ice, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of matcha powder, and drink up! Sláinte!
