BLACK TEA HAIR DYE
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 4 black tea bags or 1 tbsp of black loose leaf tea. We recommend A Woman's Woman Breakfast by Steep Society.
- 2 cups water
- 4 tbsp dried sage
WHAT TO DO
In a large pot, bring the water to a boil and then add in the tea bags and sage. Cover the pot and let the mixture steep for 15 minutes. Then remove from heat, allow the infusion to cool, and strain out the tea bags and sage.
Shampoo your hair with hot water and then apply the infusion to your hair, making sure to liberally saturate any grey hairs. Leave the tea in your hair for at least half an hour before rinsing it out. Keep any leftover tea in the fridge and use within 2-3 days.
Repeat this process everyday for a week, and then twice a week until you achieve your desired results. This tea rinse will gradually darken your hair, giving it natural highlights and lowlights as well as a beautiful shine.
