TURKISH SPICE MOJITO

Turkish Spice Mojito

We thought we’d spice up the classic mojito with this unique blend by Zhi Tea. The blend of spices in Zhi’s mint tea gives this staple cocktail a new edge and different flair. So, get to muddling and tasting the flavors of this familiar beverage with an exotic twist.

Turkish Spice Mojito

Makes 1 glass // Prep Time: 10 minutes // Active Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 sachet of Turkish Spice Mint by Zhi Tea
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 6 fresh mint leaves
  • ½ lime sliced into 4 wedges
  • 1 tbsp honey or 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 oz white rum
  • Club soda
  • Ice for serving
  • Mint sprigs and lime wedges for garnish

Directions

Heat the water to 212°F and pour over tea to steep for 5-6 minutes. Then remove the tea bag and set aside to cool.

In a tall glass combine the mint leaves and 1 lime wedge and muddle together. Then add in the honey/sugar and rest of the lime wedges. Muddle more to let the lime and mint juices create a nice fusion of flavors.

Next add in ½ cup of the tea and the rum and stir gently. Finish it off by adding ice cubes, topping with club soda, and garnishing with mint sprigs and lime wedges. Enjoy :)
