Strawberry Green Tea Mojito

Makes 1 glass // Prep Time: 5 minutes // Active Time: 5 minutes

  • 1 tsp loose leaf green tea or 1 green tea sachets; or try it with Asheville Tea Co's zippy Hibiscus Mojito Tea
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 6 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tsp sugar or 1 tsp honey
  • ½ lime sliced into 4 wedges
  • 2 strawberries sliced
  • 2 oz white rum
  • Ice for serving
  • Club soda
  • Mint sprigs, strawberries, and/or limes for garnish

Heat the water to 175°F and pour over the tea. Steep for 2-3 minutes, then remove the leaves or sachets and set aside to cool.

In a tall serving glass, combine the mint leaves, sugar/honey, lime wedges, and strawberries and muddle together with a muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon. Next, add in the rum, and gently stir.

Add large ice cubes and pour in ½ cup of the green tea. Then top with club soda, garnish with mint, strawberries, and/or lime - and enjoy :)
