Spicy Lemon Detox
Makes 1 glass // Prep Time: 10 minutes // Active Time: 5 minutes
- 1 cup filtered water
- 1 tsp loose leaf or 1 sachet/bag herbal lemon tea or green tea
- 1/2 lemon
- A pinch of ground cayenne pepper
- Honey, agave syrup, or pure maple syrup to taste
For green tea: heat water to 175°F and steep tea for 2-3 minutes. For herbal lemon tea: heat water to 212°F and let steep for 5-10 minutes.
Remove (strain) tea and squeeze (or ream) the lemon into the brewed tea. Sprinkle in the cayenne and fix it up with your sweetener of choice. Drink on an empty stomach to reap the most benefits!
