This simple but lively iced tea is great for a get together with close friends, just increase the proportions and serve it up!
Sparkling Berry Iced Tea
Makes 1 glass // Prep Time: 5 minutes // Active Time: 5 minutes
- 2 rounded tsp or 2 sachets/bags white tea
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries
- 1/2 cup sparkling mineral water (Topo Chico is a great mineral water to use!)
- Ice cubes for serving
- Strawberries, mint sprigs, and/or lime wedges for garnish
Heat water to 175°F and steep tea for 1-3 minutes. Remove tea leaves and set aside to cool.
Purée the strawberries in a blender (with some ice) or in a food processor. Feel free to add in some mint or apple slices while blending the strawberries to add more flavor! If you do, be sure to strain the mixture before combining it with the tea.
Then mix the puréed strawberries into the cooled tea. Add a handful of ice cubes, and top with sparkling water. Garnish with some strawberries, mint sprigs, and/or a lime wedge - as always, enjoy :)
