This refreshing and energizing cocktail is full of flavor! Using a Zest Tea Pomegranate Mojito and lime syrup, Denaya Jones from deestilled has reinvented a classic cocktail. This vibrant mojito is sure to liven up any occasion!
- 2 tbsp Zest Tea Pomegranate Mojito tea
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 lime
- 2 oz. silver rum
- 6 mint leaves
Pomegranate Mojito Simple Syrup: Heat the water in a saucepan and stir the tea throughout until the water is light brown and comes to a boil. Add the sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves. Add the zest from 1 lime and the juice of 1/2 lime to the syrup. Then, remove from heat and allow the syrup to cool fully. Strain the syrup and store in a glass jar.
Pomegranate Mojito: Muddle the mint leaves and remaining 1/2 lime together in a shaker with 1 tbsp of the simple syrup. Fill the shaker about 3/4 of the way full with ice, add the rum, and shake vigorously for 12 seconds. Strain into your glass over fresh ice. If you've muddled enough, you should see mint leaves scattered throughout the glass. Add more syrup or adjust proportions to your preference. Enjoy!
