Teas are wonderful additions to any smoothie to add character to your standard smoothie recipe. The flavorful oolong comes out in this berry smoothie and gives it an amount of depth you wouldn't find in your normal frozen blend. The recipe calls for mixed berries, so grab a collection of your favorite summer berries, toss them in with a banana, some almond milk, and smooth oolong and you've got yourself an energizing and antioxidant rich treat!
Oolong Berry Blast
Makes 1 glass // Prep Time: 5 minutes // Active Time: 5 minutes
- 1 rounded tsp Shangri-La Oolong by Nepal Tea
- 1/2 cup filtered water
- 1 frozen banana, sliced
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
Brew your oolong tea - heat the water to 190°F and steep tea for 4-5 minutes, then remove the tea and set aside to cool.
In a blender combine all the ingredients, as well as the cooled tea, and blend it up!
