LEMON LAVENDER CHAMOMILE BREEZE
Makes 1 glass // Prep Time: 10 minutes // Active Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
Honey-Lavender Simple Syrup
- 1 cup filtered water
- 2/3 cup honey
- 3 tbsp fresh or dried lavender flowers
Cocktail
- 1 rounded tsp loose leaf or 1 sachet/bag chamomile tea. We recommend Walters Bay delicately floral and lightly sweet chamomile tea.
- 1 cup filtered water
- 2 oz cognac
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 oz honey-lavender simple syrup
- A sprig of fresh or dried lavender
- Ice cubes
Directions
Honey-Lavender Simple Syrup
Bring the water and lavender flowers to a boil in a small saucepan. Stir in honey and let dissolve. Then reduce heat to simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat to cool, cover, and let infuse for 1 hour. Pour syrup by straining out the lavender into a sealable jar (mason jars work well) and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks!
Lemon Lavender Chamomile Breeze Recipe
Heat the water to around 200°F-212°F and steep tea for 5-10 minutes. Remove or strain the tea and let cool to room temperature (about 15 minutes).
In a cocktail shaker, combine the cognac, lemon juice, honey-lavender simple syrup and handful of ice cubes and shake for about 10-15 seconds. In a cocktail glass, add in a handful of ice cubes, pour the tea over the ice cubes, and then add in the shaken cocktail to to the tea. Stir gently, garnish with the lavender sprig, and enjoy!
