For those of you who love jasmine tea, try infusing it in gin to incorporate it in this delicate and delightful cocktail. Infusing spirits with tea is a fun way to experiment and come up with your own unique concoctions. If gin isn’t your favorite, try tea infused vodka instead! The lighter the spirit, the more easily the tea flavor will shine through and add a layer of depth to your favorite cocktail.

Jasmine Gin Fizz

Makes 1 glass // Prep Time: 2 hours // Active Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Jasmine Green sachet from Zhi Tea or Rishi; or loose JusTea Purple Jasmine in one of the disposable tea bags from your Sips by box
  • 1 cup gin
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 2 tsp filtered water
  • 1 egg white (about 3 oz)
  • Club soda
  • Ice for serving
  • Lemon wedges or rounds for garnish

Directions

In an airtight container (mason jars work well), combine the gin and tea sachet. Let it infuse for two hours, then remove the tea. (It’s best to drink this infusion up within a week!)

Once you have the jasmine green gin all set - make some honey syrup by combining the honey and filtered water, stirring until the honey is well dissolved. Next, combine 2 oz of the infused gin, the lemon juice, honey syrup, and egg white in a cocktail shaker and shake well (about 10 seconds).

Pour through a fine strainer over ice, stir in 1-2 oz of club soda, and garnish with a lemon wedge/round :)
