Iced sweet tea is a summertime staple. We put a fun twist on this classic drink by turning it into a granita! We used The Tea Spot Bolder Breakfast black tea when we made it, and we absolutely love how the honey and condensed milk adds a little more creaminess.
Honey Sweet Tea Granita
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
- 3 tsp black tea
- 3 cups water
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 3 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
Directions
Brew 3 cups of The Tea Spot Bolder Breakfast, strain, and let cool.
Add the honey, lemon juice, and condensed milk to the brewed tea. Mix well and make sure that everything is dissolved.
Pour the mixture into a shallow, airtight, and freezer-proof container and place it in the freezer. After an hour, run a fork through the mixture to break up the pieces of ice. Repeat this process every 20-30 minutes until the consistency is fluffy and resembles snow (about 2 hours).
Serve when you've achieved your desired texture. Enjoy!
