This tangy granita is the perfect way to end a meal. Light, cold, fruity, and refreshing - summertime in a cup! This granita uses Sips by's very own Cranberry Hibiscus Iced Tea, which is made with the tart Traditional Medicinals Hibiscus tea. Give it a try!
Cranberry Hibiscus Granita
Makes 8 servings
Ingredients
- 3 cups Cranberry Hibiscus Iced Tea (without ice)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup honey
Directions
Combine the tea with the lemon juice and honey. Stir until everything is dissolved.
There are two ways to make the granita. The first is to pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to instructions. The second is to pour the mixture into a shallow metal pan, freeze until the mixture is solid (about 6 hours), transfer to a food processor, and pulse until the granita is smooth and creamy.
Serve immediately, or allow the granita to harden in the freezer for 1-2 hours if you prefer a firmer texture. Enjoy!
