Spruce up this simple yet classic cocktail with a bundle of blueberries and a dash of tea. Delightful and cleansing, Everyday Detox Lemon by Traditional Medicinals may not have the full detoxing effects it would if it weren’t paired with a drop of gin, but hey. This unique pair goes down easy and there has to be some health benefits by adding tea, right?
Blueberry Lemon Tom Collins

Ingredients
Lemon Tea Simple Syrup:
- 1 bag lemon tea
- 1 cup sugar or 6 tbsp honey
- 1 cup filtered water
Cocktail:
- 1 cup blueberries
- 2 oz tea simple syrup
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 oz gin or vodka

- Lemon wedges and blueberries for garnish
Directions
Lemon Tea Simple Syrup:
In a small saucepan combine the tea bag, sugar/honey, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 2 minutes. Then remove from heat and let cool. (The syrup will keep in the refrigerator for up to a week!)
Cocktail:
In a cocktail shaker combine the blueberries, simple syrup, and lemon juice and muddle together (smush with a muddler or wooden spoon). Then strain the mixture into a cocktail glass, pressing on the blueberries to extract maximum flavor.
Add in the gin or vodka, crushed ice, and top with club soda. Then garnish with a lemon wedge and some blueberries and enjoy :)
