Cold weather can be really hard on your skin, making it vulnerable to dryness, scaliness, and peeling. Fortify yourself from the outside in by nourishing yourself with this luxuriously whipped green tea moisturizer. A little bit of this good stuff will immediately stop dryness in its tracks and have your skin smooth and glowing! This moisturizer is, however, made with coconut oil so avoid using it on your face if you have acne-prone skin.

GREEN TEA MOISTURIZER

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • 2 tbsp green tea leaves
  • 1/2 cup cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup aloe vera gel
  • 1/4 cup shea butter

WHAT TO DO

Using a double boiler, melt the coconut oil and shea butter over medium heat. Add in the tea leaves, cover the double boiler, and let the oil simmer/steep on low heat for at least 1 hour.

Strain the mixture to remove the tea leaves. Let the mixture cool and add in the aloe vera gel. Once the mixture is almost solid, whip it (either by hand or with an electric mixer) until it is fluffy and creamy.

Transfer the moisturizer to airtight container and apply it to your body to deeply moisturize and soften your skin. Enjoy your glow!
