Aches and pains tend to act up more when our bodies contract and tense up due to cold weather. Oftentimes, this pain manifests itself first in high-pressure points, like hands and feet. If you're suffering from tense, aching feet, give this foot soak a try! It's a lovely way to ease pain away and unwind at the end of the day.
GREEN TEA FOOT SOAK
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 2 tsp green tea leaves
- 8 quarts hot water
- 1 cup epsom salt
- 1/4 cup fresh or dried lavender buds
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- foot tub, bucket, or other large container
- 1 gallon sized ziploc/resealable bag
WHAT TO DO
Add the tea, epsom salt, lavender, and avocado oil to the ziploc bag. Seal the bag and shake vigorously to thoroughly mix and combine all of the ingredients. You can store the mixture in the same bag, or transfer it to another sealable container until you are ready to use it.
When you are ready to use the foot soak, add the mixture into a large foot tub filled with 8 quarts of hot or very warm water (whatever temperature is tolerable and pleasant for you!).
Soak your feet for 30 minutes, or until they feel soft and relaxed and the aching has been eased. After using this foot soak, you will feel clean and refreshed!
