Happy Small Business Saturday! Did you know that Sips by is a small business? Even in the first half of 2019, our TEAm was packing boxes out of our founder's Austin home. We moved into our first real office in May 2019, and then many of us moved out of it again to begin working from home in March 2020. Our TEAm has grown to include 17 tea lovers, all focused on bringing you teas we know you'll love, plus our own small warehouse team that lovingly packs every tea box by hand. Staci started Sips by to help tea lovers like herself navigate the often complex world of tea, helping them find the best brands and try the best teas without having to spend time and money researching and tasting countless teas. Last year, we launched our first curated themed boxes (#magicboxforever) and our online tea shop. We can't wait to continue our tea journey with you.

2. Shop our small business brand partners

On this Small Business Saturday, we’re celebrating the brand partners we work with to bring you the best teas from around the world. The tea industry here in the U.S. is made up of many small tea businesses — 100+ of Sips by brand partners are small businesses! At least 50 of our partners are 100% owner operated and they’re the ones hand packing each tea that they send to us to share with you. It’s an aspect of our service we wish we could highlight more readily — Sips by is a small business that is made possible by small business. There’s so much care and passion put into each and every tea that goes into your boxes — from brands of all sizes, from our tea-m to you.

Many of our brand partners hand pack special sample sizes just for Sips by in order to get their teas into your hands. Plus, Sips by Boxes ship free within the US, which means you don’t need to pay expensive shipping costs in order to try tea from boutique brands around the world. Our goal is to reduce the leg-work that goes into a tea-curious person or tea lover discovering teas and connecting with brands they’ll love.
