SAGE ROSE WHITE TEA Sips by WIGHT TEA CO

sage rose white tea

This beautiful blend is as delicious as it looks - handmade with white tea, rose petals, sage, and a hint of lemongrass.

Sage can be used in so many different ways - it has a long history as a culinary and medicinal herb, can be used topically to help skin conditions, and is frequently burned as the smoke is believed to purify a person or environment and promote balance.

A great way to take advantage of all of the nutritional benefits of sage is to drink it as tea! It is high in antioxidants, aids digestion, may help improve cognition and memory, lower blood glucose and cholesterol levels, and control inflammation. This blend is especially nourishing and high in antioxidants and vitamins.

Wight Tea Co is based in Baltimore, MD - we got to meet Brittany and Joey, the brother-and-sister founders, at World Tea Expo, and had a great time bonding with them over our tea obsessions! Their passion truly shines through - check out Wight Tea online and use discount code SIPSBY for 15% off!

PURPLE TEA Sips by JUSTEA

justea purple tea

This month we are excited for you to try Purple Tea from JusTea, a company out of Vancouver that is introducing to world the highest quality Kenyan teas while benefiting Kenyan farming families by creating fair trade employment and sustainable growth. Purple Tea is a unique and recently discovered cultivar of the tea plant with naturally purple leaves!

Why is it purple? It’s because the tea leaves contain anthocyanins - the same antioxidants that give blueberries and acai their characteristic color. These antioxidants may lower cholesterol, improve immune health, and they are anti-inflammatory. JusTea’s farmers craft the tea without oxidizing the leaves (like green tea) to retain the potent health benefits.

Purple Tea is also a color-changing tea! Add a few drops of lemon to the steeped tea (works best with unblended purple tea) and the color will change to purply-pink (as pictured)! Read more about Purple Tea here.

We love JusTea’s new blends - light and floral Purple Jasmine, refreshing and invigorating Purple Mint, and bright and lively Purple Rain. Check out JusTea online and get 20% off site-wide with code SIPSBY.

TURMERIC TONIC Sips by THE TEA SPOT

turmeric tonic golden milk

Show your body some love with this spicy sweet golden elixir from The Tea Spot! This bright herbal chai blend contains ginger, turmeric, sarsaparilla and nettle which support joint health. Did you know that turmeric’s anti-inflammatory benefits are greatly increased when it’s consumed along with black pepper? Well, this blend has that taken care of! It includes black pepper, too, so you can get maximum health benefits of this widely considered superfood. The ginger is very soothing on the stomach and the nettle combats allergies and skin problems, in addition to a wide range of other benefits.

There are multiple ways you can enjoy this golden tea. Drink it hot, cold, straight up, or as a golden milk latte! We can’t wait to experiment with cooking/baking with this blend as well. How will you prepare your Turmeric Tonic? We can't wait to see your ideas and posts!

We were so happy to get the chance to meet Maria Uspenski, founder of the Tea Spot, and were very inspired by her story. She is a cancer survivor on a mission to foster wellness and healthy habits through tea. We invite you to learn more here, check out her book Cancer Hates Tea, and use code SIPSBY20 for 20% off the entire site.
