It’s no secret that we LOVE all things matcha – but at first glance, we know it can be daunting to think of interesting ways to use it.
The great thing is, you can pretty much use it in everything and anything - but here are four of our absolute favorite ways to get our daily dose of the green stuff:
Matcha Latte
Makes 1 cup
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp of teapigs Matcha Chai Latte powder
- A little hot water*
- A splash of agave syrup
- A sprinkle of cinnamon and/or nutmeg
- 1 cup of almond milk
- ½ cup butter, melted
Directions
1. Add hot water to matcha in your cup. (Green tea is delicate so best not to use boiling water, so just click the kettle off before it boils or let it sit a few mins).
2. Whisk
3. Add agave and spices
4. Heat almond milk and whisk until frothy
5. Add the milk to the matcha and enjoy the yumminess!
*This latte also tastes AMAZING iced. Just make a paste with a little cold almond milk (instead of the hot water), add the agave and spiced and top with more almond milk and ice.

Matcha Martini
Makes 1 cup
Ingredients
- ½ tsp of teapigs Matcha Mint Latte powder
- 2 tsp cane sugar (or light agave syrup)
- ⅓ cup of vodka
- splash of apple juice
Directions
1. Whisk matcha and agave in to a small amount of vodka
2. Pour into a shaker full of ice, add the remaining vodka and the apple juice and shake, shake, shake!
If you want to get fancy - rim a martini glass with sugar, pour in the cocktail and decorate with lemon or mint. If it's too strong, add a little sparkling or soda water.

- ½ of an apple
- ¼ stick of celery
- 2 sprigs of mint
- ½ of a banana
- ½ of a pear
Directions
1. Just blend all the ingredients together in a blender!
This matcha drink tastes creamy (thanks to the banana!) yet light and fresh – we love it at breakfast time. If you find it too thick, add a dash of coconut water or fruit juice!Recipe from teapigs news: The teapigs Blog
Matcha Milkshake
